Mission Statement

The Selma Fire and Rescue Department is dedicated to provide rapid, reliable and professional emergency service to the citizens of the City of Selma. We are committed to protecting the lives and property in our community.

We will accomplish our mission through education, fire prevention, fire suppression, emergency and non- emergency activities.

We will actively participate in this community, striving to efficiently and effectively utilize all resources at our command to meet the needs of the citizens we serve.

About Selma Fire

The Selma Fire & Rescue is a 54 line personnel, 7 administrative staff and 1 administrative assistant team, when fully staffed. Selma Fire have 4 responding stations and 1 training station. We operate 4 engine companies, 1 ladder truck, one brush truck and one shift commander vehicle. Our stations are manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week working a 24 hour shift with 48 hours off. On average, we respond to approximately 700 calls a year and maintain a Class 2 ISO Rating with a Class 1 being the nest class rating.
