Burn permits for the City of Selma and the surrounding police jurisdiction may be obtained by calling our Fire Inspection Office during regular business hours; that number is (334) 874-2159. Please provide location information along with contact information. Weather conditions and “No Burn” restrictions imposed by the State due to drought may prevent permits from being issued. A fire department representative will inspect the location before a permit can be issued.
Inspections are for the safety of not only business owners, but for the general public as well. Inspections are conducted by the Fire Inspectors’ office, which houses the investigations divisions. Inspections are to be scheduled by calling (334) 874-2159 or contacting the Chief’s Office at (334) 874-2150.
