IT governance is defined as the processes that ensure the effective and efficient use of Information Technology in enabling an organization to achieve its goals. IT governance is an element of organizational governance, aimed at improving the overall management of IT and deriving improved value from investment in information and technology.
The IT governance framework for City of Selma enables the Director of Information Technology to manage the city’s IT risks effectively and ensure that the activities associated with information and technology are aligned with overall municipal government objectives.
